She leads with a philosophy rooted in access, equity, and real-world impact. With this approach, Dr. Gongora-Svartzman shapes forward-looking curricula and fosters a supportive learning environment for future computer scientists.

With a background in product design and time spent working as a product manager, Yang knew what she wanted next, but also what she needed to get there. That realization not only led her to pursue a master’s degree in Information Systems, but it also brought her to Northeastern University’s Miami campus.

In 2019, Analytic Partners relocated its headquarters to Miami. The city hadn’t yet earned a reputation as a tech hub, but the global leader in Commercial Analytics recognized its potential early on. Today, that decision is paying off in growth, fresh talent, and long-term client impact as Miami solidifies its position in the global tech economy.

Jiao Yang, MS’26, information systems-bridge, has been able to transform her career and achieve her professional goals by participating in an incredible co-op experience and completing rigorous, impactful courses in the classroom.

“Our goals for the Trek are to help students exercise their entrepreneurial minds and build their entrepreneurship toolbox,” says Pedro Gomes, the Miami Campus’s Associate Director of Entrepreneurship.  This is a full-immersion, high-intensity program to show them what can be done in a week.”
